This is how I think the fight with Gil should've went, since there wasn't an actual fight with him, and they missed out on an amazing opportunity for an epic battle. So, to set the scene, it's the part where you're in Gil's lair, and you've just put all of the ADAM leaves into his tank. You're just about to press the button to shock him to death.

You press the button, and electricity fills Gil's tank. He screams in pain, and roars. Suddenly, Gil's tank bursts, the room fills with water, and you immediately see Gil, that giant mutant fish fetus guy, charging straight for you, roaring and screaming things like "TRY TO KILL ME, WILL YOU?! WELL, YOU'RE FIRED!!!" You take out your machine gun, and fire at him, but the bullets just bounce off of him. Just then, he bursts through the glass along with all the water, and slams you onto the ground.

He reaches out a hand to step on you with, when you drill into his hand. He screams, and turns around, holding his giant bloody hand, revealing his back. Sinclair comes on the radio. "Now! Climb up his back and have a go at his head! NOW!" He yells frantically. You climb up his back, and fire every plasmid you can at his head. "NO! GET OFF!" He screams, his voice shaking. He swings himself back and forth violently, which sends you flying through the wall.

The screen goes red for a second, then you see Gil charging at you again, leaving a tidal wave of water behind him. You see that his health hasn't gone down at all, so you have no choice but to run because you can't defeat him. He chases you down the halls, screaming "SLOW DOWN, TIN MAN!!!" Splicers jump out of doors, slowing you down a bit, and you hear Gil getting closer, so you drill charge straight through the splicers, and keep running.

You make a turn at the end of the hallway, and suddenly, Gil bursts through a wall down the hallway, charges at you, and knocks you to the ground. "NO!!" Sinclair yells. "Oh, YES! Now, Delta, it's time I END THIS!!!" Gil says, while pinning you to the ground. He leans down, and opens his mouth, which is filled with razor sharp fangs, and prepares to bite your head off.

At the last second, you use incinerate on the inside of his mouth, and he instantly catches on fire. He screams in pain "SCREW YOU, DELTA!!! SCREW YOU!!!" He falls to the ground, stomach up, flailing his arms and roaring. "You're almost done, now ya just gotta finish the job!" Sinclair said. You climb up onto Gil's stomach, and run over to his visible heart. "Please, no!! I promise, I won't hurt anyone, I swear!! Just let me go!!!"
At that point you'd have two choices. To kill him, or let him go.

If you would choose to kill him, you'd pull out your drill, and drill into his heart. He lets out one last roar, then, goes silent and limp. And you see his heart stop beating.

If you choose to let him go, you'll jump off of his stomach, and splash down into the water. "Y-You're really letting me live?! You know, I was wrong about you, Delta." He says. He appears to attempt a smile at you, then runs off, barely squeezes through the hatch door to go into the sea, and goes outside. You see him pass by the glass one last time, and stare at you, then swim off. "Well, sport, looks like you still got that same big ol heart of yours. Now, let's hurry on out of here." Sinclair says over the radio.
This is how I think the fight with Gil should've gone. THIS WOULD BE SOOOO EPIC!!!!!

To be honest, I have no idea how I came up with this fight lol

Read this while listening to this music. I dare you. It's epic. [link]

Gil (*purple security-bot hovering nearby* "FIRED!") sorry, I mean Alex the Great, would have made for a great boss battle, but I kind of liked how it wasn't. I figure that is his ability to irritate the sh*t out of you WAS the 'boss-battle', but he's like Sander Cohen in that way: totally freaking insane and yet that's what makes them so loveable.
